Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - Book Review

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the fourth of seven entries in the Harry Potter franchise. It takes a darker path and does not follow the scaffold of Harry Potter books that the first three books did. It picks up with Harry, Ron and Hermione at the Burrow. When the three arrive at Hogwarts they realise the Triwizard tournament is taking place at Hogwarts.

This book is different than the other three. It is double the length of the third book but spends roughly the same amount of time as the others do. In this book you really see Harry's detachment from not just Ron and Hermione but everyone else. It shows outside his friends, he doesn't have much. However he is so distracted that he doesn't notice some very dark and amazing things that are going on in Hogwarts, this gives a much more satisfying ending.

My flaws are, the first 100 pages were a little slow, a bit dragged out. Another flaw is the overly long ending that again followed the first three with tying up all the loose ends but then again, this is a children's book.

Despite the small flaws, I don't have too many problems with this book

I'm going to give Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

A-
